Michigan City is a town of 30,000 located on Lake Michigan and the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. Because of these amenities, it is becoming a popular second home for many Chicagoans. To help revitalize the north end of the town, the City Planning Department commissioned Lohan Anderson to develop a master plan for a 20 acre site across Trail Creek from a large casino and hotel complex. The plan includes retail on part of the riverfront, residential, a river walk, marinas, and two new public parks. A special feature is an aerial tram that would fly over a tall sand dune that separates the site from the Lake Michigan beaches.

One of the proposed parks, the Charles K. Westcott Park, was realized by Lohan Anderson in 2010.

Completed: 2008
