In 2006 the outdoor advertising company JCDecaux invited Lohan Anderson to design a bus shelter prototype to be built and maintained throughout Hamburg by JCDecaux. In exchange for building and maintaining the shelters, JCDecaux would be allowed to share in the revenues generated by advertising on the shelters. The design challenge was to create a modern element of urbanscape with discretely integrated advertising.
